BRIO NAME LATE THIRTIES AGE MALE GENDER LOW KEY TOXTRICITY SPECIES LONELY NATURE
MINUS ABILITY EX-ADVENTURER, BARISTA, BUSKER OCCUPATION LIVELY TOWN HOMETOWN MAGNOLIA TOWN RESIDENCE
APPEARANCE
A vaguely amphibious purple Pokemon with two blue arches of electricity on his head, with a similarly colored blue marking along his underside down to his hips, where it narrows to a point. On his chest are a series of fin-like organs, matching the purple of the rest of his body. There are light blue triangle markings on his legs that resemble stripes. Both his feet and hands have light blue accents on the palms/soles. He slouches, standing about five feet when he's standing straight.

PERSONALITY
The first time you meet Brio, and maybe even the second or third, it might seem as though Brio doesn't care about much of anything. That isn't true, of course, but he's a fairly laid-back Toxtricity and can sometimes have trouble doing much emoting when he's not prepared to do it. He struggles making small talk, but is getting better thanks to his job at the Roasted Bean!

He tends to think of complaints as problems that need solutions, rather than just things to commisserate over. While helpful in his previous line of work as an adventurer, Brio's pretty lazy by nature, so it ended up exhausting him. He's forever thinking about the best way to do something, whether that's taking orders or managing breakfast such that one part is finished at just the same time as the rest of it. That said, he's incurably lazy when it comes to solutions to his own, more inane problems.

He loses track of what he's saying sometimes, and if you hear him just stop talking mid-sentence, it's usually safe to assume he's forgotten where it was going. He enjoys being around other Pokemon, although he isn't always able to be a social Beautifly, preferring sometimes to be a third party in a conversation.

BACKSTORY
Brio was born one of two Toxel to a Toxtricity and a Gurdurr. His brother, it turned out, was of a more Jolly nature, and the two of them, when they evolved, were surprised to find themselves looking so different.

Although still in contact with his family, Brio doesn't go and visit them often. He took to the world of adventuring largely because of his brother, who thought the stories and idea of adventuring sounded like a great time -- and the pair of them even made a team, although Brio's yet to be forced to divulge its name.

His time as an adventurer was... exhausting, for lack of a better word, and Brio could hardly wait to be rid of it, his retirement coming quite a while after he wanted it to because of his brother forever pursuing another case for them. It was all well and good to help other Pokemon, but being sent on errands did not sit nearly so comfortably on Brio's plate as it did his brother's.
Of course, there's some irony perhaps, in the way he serves coffee now, an endless trail of errands at his fingertips, but they're for Pokemon he knows, Pokemon he could get to know. The community, he feels, makes a difference. He enjoys a quiet life, the mundanity, as much as the routine - wake up, give people cups, go home, go to bed, repeat.
